On June 30, 2022, Ms. Chavanart Thangsumphant, Ambassador of Thailand, presented a copy of the Credentials to Ms. Jana Vanaveski, Director-General of the Department of Protocol, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Estonia, and discussed on related matters regarding how to strengthen bilateral ties between the two countries, especially this year marks the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Estonia, the Thai side would like to propose to organize the joint Thai-Estonian cultural performance in Tallinn; the re-establishment on a Thai Honorary Consul to Estonia.
After that the Ambassador had a meeting with Mr. Mati Murd, Director of Asia, Department of Political Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia, and discussed in the areas of how to increase the dynamic of bilateral relations in the post covid-19 era and suggested a new platform to deepen cooperation in technology and innovation, such as the Thailand Nordic Countries Innovation Unit ,and also the promotion on foreign investment at East Economic Corridor in Thailand as the prime gateway to Southeast Asia with comprehensive connectivity by sea, air, road, and railways.
