On 15 June 2018, His Excellency Mr. Nopporn Adchariyavanich, Ambassador of Thailand to Estonia with the residence in Helsinki brought Mr. Adrus Kaarelson, Director of State Information System, Estonian Information System Authority (RIA) and Mr. Margus Arm, Head of Electronic Identity Department of RIA, to meet with the Executive officials of the Ministry of Education of Thailand led by Associate Professor Dr. Sophon Napathorn M.D., Vice Minister for Education, at the Ministry of Education’s headquarters in Bangkok.

Mr. Kaarelson and Mr. Arm briefed the meeting about the technology used for e-Estonia including X-Road Information System, linking the data bases among the Estonian state agencies and private sectors; and electronic identification (eID).  In this regard, the Ministry of Education of Thailand will explore more on the said technology which may be useful for the work of the Ministry, including using the said technology to link the data bases of the various agencies within the Ministry.
