Announcements concerning visa services:

** Effective date on 1 April 2021 at 00.01 hrs. (local time in Thailand) **

1. Duration of quarantine in Thailand

    1.1 For Thai and Foreign nationals who have NOT received COVID-19 vaccines endorsed by the Ministry of Public Health of Thailand (The List of COVID-19 vaccines appear below.)

          - Quarantine period is reduced to not less than 10 days or equivalent to 12 days, 11 nights including check-in and check-out days. 

(The list of countries from which travelers have to be quarantined for 14 days appears below. The Department of Disease Control of Thailand will revise the list every month.)

   1.2 For Thai and Foreign nationals who have RECEIVED a completed dose of COVID-19 vaccine endorsed by the Ministry of Public Health of Thailand in the period of not less than 14 before departure 

          - Their quarantine period may be considered to reduce to not less than 7 days. Travelers must present a COVID-19 vaccine certificate to a disease control officer at Suvarnabhumi Airport. The officer will consider the quarantine period on case by case basis.

2. Requirement on medical certificates to enter to the Kingdom of Thailand

     2.1 Thai national

            - CANCELLATION of the submission of Fit to Fly certificate and RT-PCR COVID-19 Negative certificate

*** Note: all travelers are required to check the airlines’ requirements on medical certification by themselves before departure ***

     2.2 Foreign national

           - CANCELLATION of the submission of Fit to Fly certificate

           - REQUIREMENT of the presentation of medical certificate with a laboratory RT-PCR result indicating that COVID-19 is not detected, issued no more than 72 hours before departure

3. List of COVID-19 vaccines that the Ministry of Public Health of Thailand endorsed and registered with World Health Organization or the Thai Food and Drug Administration as follows:

     3.1 Pfizer/BioNTech (Comirnaty / BNT162b2 Tozinametan (INN)

     3.2 AstraZeneca (AZD1222)

     3.3 Janssen/Johnson & Johnson (Ad26.COV2.S)

     3.4 Sinovac (SARS-CoV-2 Vaccine (Vero Cell), Inactivated

     3.5 Covishield (ChAdlx1_nCov-19) (Serum Institute of India)

4. List of 11 countries from which travelers have to be quarantined for 14 days (as of 29 March 2021)

     South Africa, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Botswana, Zambia, Kenya, Rwanda, Cameroon, DR Congo,   
Ghana and Tanzania

However, please check with airlines for further requirements, if any.

5.  Under the Declaration of an Emergency Situation, foreigners are allowed to enter Thailand with Certificate of Entry. Helsinki will handle Visa and COE only from holders of Finnish and Estonian passports, and from those who have residence permits in Finland/Estonia.**

6. Visa can submit only by post to Royal Thai Embassy: Lönnrotin Puistikko 5 A2, 00120 Helsinki (at least 3 weeks before departure)
