On 1 April 2025 at the Presidential Palace in Helsinki, His Excellency Mr. Worawoot Pongprapapant presented a Letter of Credence to His Excellency Mr. Alexander Stubb, the President of the Republic of Finland, appointing him as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of Finland.

 

On this occasion, both sides discussed and exchanged views on regional security developments, as well as opportunities to enhance trade and investment between Thailand and Finland through the negotiation of a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with the European Union. In addition, the Thai Ambassador expressed his wish that the President of Finland would be able to pay an official visit to Thailand and the ASEAN region at an opportune moment.
