On 3 December 2021, the Royal Thai Embassy in Helsinki, Finland organized a reception on the occasion of the National Day of the Kingdom of Thailand, the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty the Late King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great and Thailand Father's Day at the residence of the Ambassador. Around 80 people including representatives from Finnish authorities, diplomatic corps, business sectors and friends of Thailand attended the reception.

HE Ms. Chavanart Thangsuphant, Ambassador of Thailand to Finland delivered her speech by addressing Thailand's travel scheme to open up the country as it officially unlocks its gates to foreign tourists and business persons with the safety measures to curb Covid-19. The Ambassador also highlighted that Thailand has taken over the Chairmanship of APEC 2022, with the theme of “Open, Connect, Balance”. The concept of Bio, Circular, and Green Economy, or BCG Economy Model will be further promoted as the driving force behind APEC's priorities next year.

For the reception of Thai National Day this year, the Embassy organized the display of canvas painting presenting Thai Cultures, Folklore and Literature as well as the Thai porcelain with designs in five colors. The carving of vegetables and fruits were also specially showcased with Thai assorted desserts. At the end of the reception, guests received a takeaway platter with an exquisite selection Thai cuisine, in accordance with current Covid-19 protection measures in Finland.
