The Revision of Thailand's Visa Exemption (30 Days) and Visa on Arrival (VoA) Schemes,
effective 15 September 2026.

1. Visa Exemption – Up to 30 Days

From 15 September 2026, ordinary passport holders of eligible countries and territories may enter Thailand without a visa for stays of up to 30 days per visit, subject to Thailand’s immigration requirements.

The scheme covers 60 countries and territories, including Finland, Estonia, Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Bhutan, Brunei, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Fiji, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Maldives, Malta, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Oman, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Türkiye, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates (UAE), United Kingdom (UK), United States (USA).

Please note that nationals of China, Kazakhstan, Macao, Russia, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Laos, Mongolia, Timor-Leste are eligible for a visa exemption of up to 30 days per visit under bilateral agreements.

Required: A fully paid flight tickets entering and leaving Thailand within 30 days period in English or Finnish. Flight ticket to Thailand must be from Finland/Estonia or show the whole route from Finland/Estonia to Thailand.

2. Visa on Arrival (VoA)

Nationals of the following three countries may apply for a Visa on Arrival at designated immigration checkpoints:

Azerbaijan, Belarus and Serbia

• Visa fee: 2,000 THB
• Applicants must meet the applicable requirements and conditions prescribed by the Immigration Bureau.

3. Other Visa Exemption Arrangements

Thailand also provides visa exemption arrangements under bilateral agreements with certain countries and territories. The permitted period of stay varies depending on the applicable agreement, including 14, 30, or 90 days.

In addition, nationals of Seychelles and Mauritius are eligible for a 15-day visa exemption under the applicable scheme.

3.1. FOR VISIT OF UP TO 14 DAYS (under bilateral agreements)

Passport holders from the following countries/territory are not required to obtain a visa when entering Thailand for tourism purposes and will be permitted to stay in the Kingdom for a period of not exceeding 14 days on each visit:

Bilateral Agreement arrangement: Cambodia, Myanmar (International Airports only)

PLEASE NOTE: Tourist Visa Exemption does not apply to foreigners holding Travel Document for Aliens issued by the above countries.

3.2. FOR VISIT OF UP TO 90 DAYS (under bilateral agreements)

Passport holders from the following countries/territory are not required to obtain a visa when entering Thailand for tourism purposes and will be permitted to stay in the Kingdom for a period of not exceeding 90 days on each visit:

Bilateral Agreement arrangement Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Korea (currently suspended), Peru

Required: A fully paid flight tickets entering and leaving Thailand within 90 days period in English or Finnish. Flight ticket to Thailand must be from Finland/Estonia or show the whole route from Finland/Estonia to Thailand.

4. VISA EXEMPTION CONDITIONS

4.1. Entering the Kingdom through land/sea boarder checkpoints under Tourist Visa Exemption Scheme is permitted only twice in a calendar year, except nationals of Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia and Singapore who may enter Thailand through such checkpoints more than twice in a calendar year.
