Application for a Certificate of Identity (C.I.) / Temporary Travel Document

A Certificate of Identity (C.I.) is a temporary travel document issued to Thai nationals whose passports have been lost or expired and who need to return to Thailand urgently. The C.I. is valid for 30 days from the date of issue and may be used for travel to Thailand only. Applicants are therefore required to submit proof of their flight booking as part of the application.

The Embassy requires approximately 1–2 working days to process a C.I. application. Applicants may schedule an appointment in advance by emailing [email protected] or calling +358 96 122 6415 (press 1). Please attach a copy of your Thai national ID card and your previous passport when contacting the Embassy.
