UPDATE: Effective 15 September 2026: Finnish and Estonian citizens, as well as travelers from many other countries, can enter Thailand without a visa for up to 30 days under the Visa Exemption rule for tourism purposes provided they meet certain conditions.

Visa services:

1. Online Application: All visa applications must be submitted online at https://www.thaievisa.go.th/

2. Please refere to the E-Visa User Manual (English) for detailed instructions on how to complete your application.

3. Applicants are advised to submit their visa application at least 4-8 weeks before their intended travel date.

*DO NOT submit your application more than 3 months before your intended departure date.

4. Applicants must provide genuine and accurate documents and information. If an applicant is found to have submitted false documents or provided false information, the application will be rejected and the case may be reported for further determination of appropriate action and future prohibition to enter the Kingdom of Thailand.

5.1 Check the visa requirements on the Royal Thai Embassy's website before submitting your application.

5.2 Complete and submit the e-Visa application form at https://thaievisa.go.th

Please note

1. The Royal Thai Embassy Helsinki will process visa application only when the applicant is physically present in Finland or Estonia at the time of application.

2. Once the Embassy has received all requested documents, visa application will take at least 15 working days to process. However, processing times may be longer depending on the circumstances and specific requirements of each application. application.

3. Applicants will receive an e-mail notification once their visa has been approved.

4. The Royal Thai Embassy in Helsinki reserves the right to request additional documents / interview in person at the Royal Thai Embassy, Helsinki, and amend visa categories as deemed necessary as well as reject any application without prejudice.

Important!

Please be careful when completing your visa application online. All information must be entered exactly as it appears in your passport. 

1. Name: Enter your name in the same order as shown in your passport. For special characters such as Å, Ä and Ö, please enter them as AA, AE and OE respectively. Failure to enter your name correctly may result in your application being rejected.

2. Passport or Travel Document: Make sure to select and enter the correct type of passport or travel document, as well as your nationality. For example: XXX, XXB, etc.
